Hot on their mudguard raced a raging bull followed by a black slavering beast, with red eyes & teeth like a shark and overhead a screeching swan swooped & swished at the terrified travellers.
From over the horizon appeared a silhouette, a man in a battered hat & tie-dyed cape on a silver sit-on bufferer hurtling towards the tandem twosome & calling in a strange dialect.....'Oi be savin eee, oooh arrr.....'
yes, it was Sproutman! hurrah!
In a flash he'd swept the distressed damsel away from peril & they headed breathlessly towards his passion wagon ...oops, camper van...

We were flooded yesterday. I couldn't get out the back door and the dishwasher (installed on back patio) was floating. Also on the next island (Mallorca) they had a typhoon, and we had whirling winds and everything was flying!! So Mr N and I decided to go out for a lunch in the country and it was lovely. Then back home for a siesta . That basically was my day!!
Oh dear Neti how we take these things like running water for granted, Hope you get sorted soon. Maggie and me have been out to lunch, another pub. I think we've been in every pub in Derbyshire. I didn't enjoy mine much and we wont be going there again. I had chicken tika masala and the rice was really clarty and I told them so. Didn't get any refund though!

Evening, all. I dreamt of jno last night(!), telling us a few jno secrets - well, at least walk of life. Only, the company name was an acronym and I didn't know what it was... had something to do with money, though, lots and lots of it, like Fort Knox but British... something about Britain storing its gold in lots of other countries, hence the travels. So now we know! You're not the only psychic here, Robinia! (All this of course says loads about me and nothing at all about jno.)
Oh my poor Neti, I do feel for you! But I know you love your little village. Jude, you go girl - I make a nuisance of myself at restaurants too. They shouldn't ask if everything is to your satisfaction if they don't want to know, that's my motto.
Heard something hilarious (and cute) on the radio. It's a show where listeners call in on a particular subject. Wednesday the theme was monthly periods. One woman contributed this conversation that had taken place between her friend and her friend's boyfriend when they were sweet seventeen.
Boy: Listen, do you wanna spend the night?
Girl: Uh, no, not really. I have my period, I'd rather sleep alone.
Boy: What, now?
Girl: Eh?
Boy: You have it like now?
Girl:Yeeah...?
Boy: But-
Girl: What!
Boy: But... the moon isn't full!
Ha ha ha! Women as werewolves! It's so funny! Are you laughing! Ha ha, I should probably play you Werewolves of London now, with Warren Zevon, but I'll just go with ole carmelita instead. Bye now!
