Thanks for your answers regarding the Thistle hotel....my next question is.  I am planning to see a show at the Playhouse when I vist.   Does anybody know of a restaurant nearby (preferably Italian) where I would be able to book a table for after the show?   Also, one last question (for now anyhow!).  How far is the Playhouse from the Thistle?  Roughly, is it walkable or would a taxi be best.   Thanks again for your help.....

The Playhouse is a 5 minute walk from the Thistle. Come out the front door, cross the road and go down the way, not up the way to Princess Street. As for a good Italian I dont know but I'm sure someone will advise you.

gulianos right across the street from the playhouse would be the nearest italian, ive been there a few times and the foods realy good
