Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

hello Jude555, you sound familiar!
Question Author
Jude?? is that you?
Weather changed drastically, it's wet and cold and we will have the heating on later.
Poor Shugy, hope he's ok.
Hi all I don't know what happened I was in the dentists and 555 came for some reason going to try this and if it comes again I'm going to get in to the ed ok.
Totally confused about that :)
Was that the temporary name you used recently Jude?

At that rate jno you could reach 99999 by 2020. We'll start preparing the celebrations, starting with the AB logo

It might have been Robi. Can't remember. I sent the post from my phone so perhaps my mobile number has something to do with it but I don't think I've signed up with any phone numbers.
Nothing to be done at the dentist except a visit to the hygienist.
Going to cook my dinner now sooooo hungry.

Good morning all. Seems nice weather wise today, was freezing here last night,
Car wouldn't start for hija this am I tried and thought it was the starting motor, so tried rocking it but to no avail. Panic set in and then I thought why not call the insurance company and look and beholdmthey turned up within 30 mins. It was the starter motor but Henham to bang it a few times and it's all,ok and she's gone to work! I have looked it up,on youtube and now l know what the starter motor actually looks like for next time,.
Then the loo got blocked so spent 30 mins unblocking that.
A lot of riot police landed here off the ferry last night from the mainland to evict the whole village of gypsies up Sa penya (the picturesque old town of Ibiza) so that's causing huge excitement and is being televised nationally. Knowing my luck today they'll end up on my land! One of hija's police friends told us last night where they are taking them to but we haven't told as the against will be waiting to do battle. Nonstop fun here.
Question Author
I must explain that hija throws wet wipes down the loo, and we are on a cesspit, you get used to it,
Question Author
Well the eviction is very boring, the police are just standing in groups chatting but they are protecting the workmen who are cutting off the water and electricity to the slums. Strange really that the gypsies have amenities cos if we don't pay we get cut off after a month, not 29 yrs!
Morning all...bright but way tooo cold, a rf of minus 2C.

Oh dear, it's all happening in/on Ibiza. Get yourself over here neti, I've set up an emergency medical tent in the garden and I'm looking for volunteers to help me staff it. Well between us we've experienced the a-z and most of them will only need a tin of zam-buk and some little liver pills anyway.

Morning all
Freezing out there and all sorts of weather ,rain ,then sleet ,then sun .It's nearly May and about time it warmed up a bit.
Leg clinic for me later ,that nurse looks very frightening :)
Question Author
Good luck shaney.
Well the eviction passed without incident apparently. What's wrong with the world?
8 or 9 families have chosen to be sent back to Valencia and Granada, homes already paid for and 200€ from this stupid island government. I tried to tag along but obviously looked way out of place.
Another lovely sunny day here.

Have bought Volteran Retard 100mgs (shut it!) As pain relief, and opinions on this and not the bluddy retard bit! I guess it's Volterol over there.
It's snowing.
Question Author
Its not!
pretty chilly here but not snowing, you are truly blessed Robinia.

I've been to see an upside down garden = it's just the last few photos here

The flowers still have all their scents but I suppose those will fade
apparently there has been snow here though it looks suspiciously like sleet to me

It was!

That's alternative jno. I'll request that my funeral has similar floral tributes. That'll give them something to think about.
That's an interesting take on gardens Jno.Lovely colours.
It snowed here earlier but turned to sleet quite quickly. It's absolutely freezing out there.Really grim and wintery.
Yes you can get Volterol here Neti .I've tried it.Alright for mild arthritic pain I suppose but I found it pretty useless. The best stuff in a rub on gel I've found is Feldene but it's only on prescription because it contains Piroxicam.
Same old teeth gritting with the leg as she wielded a pair of tweezers to get the sloughy skin off and it all started bleeding, back Friday.I'm thinking of changing my username to Hopalong Cassidy:)
Thanks for the best answer Neti. Don't know why but thanks anyway.
Yes we've had snow twice here today and I'm really cold. I've been to Tai Chi and had a lovely beef carvary with my lady what lunches. The other lady still isn't able to get out with us but hopefully it won't be long now.
Hope all went well with the nurse Shaney.
Just finished ironing and there's another load of washing in so that'll be having on a rack in the back room.
Hello to Robi and Woofy too hope you're ok.
