Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Went down to the Winchester record office to fill in some gaps on the family tree, but they're mostly there because the records don't exist, so I didn't get much out of my day. I stayed in today because they've been forecasting rain all day, but there was only a bit of hail about 4pm and sunny most of the rest, so I should have gone out and done something. Serves me right for trusting meteorology.

How can you shout anything at the dentist?? I have had a challenging day today. Got up early to take dogs out because its glass recycling collection day and something about the noise really scares them...so any way we go over to M and S and shop...no problem. Then we got home, all fine and I had to take Heidi tort back to vets...so in the door drop dogs off and settle them then out the door...Heidi doing well by the way, check up in six weeks. Carrying her back upstairs in the pet carrier, i tripped, saved her but fell up the stairs, landed on my knees and ricked my neck and shoulders...then we’ve had the weather thing today....blackness, rain, hail repeat ad lib so the dogs have been unhappy...still dinner was nice....Shaney is there any improvement to your leg? I think accu is having a hissy fit. It used to be really accurate for me but no more :(

Dinner has been served (homemade chicken soup from carcass and veg) and tortillas and chicken wings. Then I washed up and while that was draining I had a quick bath, back to kitchen to put dishes away. Fed the feral cats. Washed the floor then seated now for EastEnders and Masterchef.

Checked with my dentist and its £45 for half an hour with the hygienist. I don't think so.
I was surprised we didn't get any rain today as it said so on my bbc weather chart. Still not complaining jumpers all dried and now airing off.
And finally finished my cooker top, bottom, grill and oven. So pleased with myself. I do normally keep it clean but this was a Spring Clean. Finished at 8.00
Now I'm in bed watching Graham Norton with the telly set to go off cos I'm sure I'll fall asleep.
Girls under 16 football tomorrow have to get going early as its out of town.

Not really Woofy. They just keep picking the slough off it and rebandanging it.I'm hoping to get a better idea of a prognosis when I attend the vascular dept at the hospital on Tuesday.
I was talking to a man at the clinic today who told me that he's been being treated for nearly two years for a leg ulcer.Talk about Job's comforter! I felt really sorry for him though

I've spent the evening knitting and watching The Killing on DVD.I don't know why I didn't watch it when it was on TV. Edge of seat and dropped stitches stuff :)

Blue skies, bit cloudy, hopefully lighter wind. Not sure how long it'll last. Accu have never been accu for me, I only look for the comedy value, eg frizz alert. How can they do a daily forecast for the next 90 days when they don't even get the current weather correct.

Shaney my old neighbour had nurses coming to dress ulcers for I don't know how long. He got fed up of waiting around for them and asked, as he had a car, if he could go to them. They sent him to a clinic a bit further afield, one where they didn't work....he was sorted out in no time. It seems to be all about the methods they use.

Must have been the day for going upstairs mishaps yesterday, I've just remembered I went up to the loo and felt a searing pain in the bottom of my foot. I'd burst a blood vessel. It's bruised but in the arch so with soft insoles it isn't hurting too much.

Big fiestas here tomorrow (mother's day) and first of may so lots of bustle in the village. Exhibition of cars and bikes and horses and flowers! So noisy.the island is officially open, and tourists are flocking in.

Jude I only have a small villa but his about a holiday here with marigolds on? Lots of food, drinks and dancing just for cleaning the place. That's a better offer than shaney's surely???

I live nearest to Jude. Ok, I don't have a sea view but I can heat a Yankee 'beach holiday' wax tart and I get the occasional flock of gulls screeching overhead.....and she can still sleep in her own bed. I'll let her have nights off. :)

Hija starts work at 7am not pm it's not that far away. Now dull and overcast. I've seen a tumble drier so Mr N will just have to fork out. I've spend this month's pension already!

It was bumper to bumper here too earlier .Mr S went on the bus to town to pick up some click for me but he gave up at the top of the High St and walked back.The traffic was just crawling along.

^Poor hija came home at 20.15, absolutely shattered, you can't moan about overwork or extra hours over here, they just tell you to get another job, no unions or anything. She managed to eat some fish fingers, mash and beans and a dunkin donut, have a hot bath and shes gone to bed.
