I'd Love To See The Northern Lights
Any ideas on cruises. Have you done a cruise, what do you recommend ?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.We did the hurtigrunten cruise and saw the northern lights. It’s probably the only cruise I’d ever do, it’s not a posh dress for dinner type of thing and no evening entertainment, which suited us perfectly.
It was very interesting and we did a number of trips from the various ports it stopped at but as it’s only a relatively small ship there weren’t hoards of people disembarking.
I’d recommend it.

I’m sorry I haven’t tamaris, it was quite a few years ago.
We flew out to Norway to pick up the ship, cruised the fjords, did some excursions (a Viking experience, an ice hotel, husky sledding, a coach trip to another port which the ship sailed to so we could see something of the countryside).
It was a very nice way to see the fjords, the northern lights, and a little of Norway itself.
The food on board was very good, the staff very helpful, the accommodation clean and comfortable.

how about a bungee jump from a helicopter over the Grand Canyon?

Apparently there is one with a drop of 5000 feet - you get two seconds to go - and if you hesitate fear takes over and you stay put.
