Late Deals - how late should you leave it?

Wanting a late deal this weekend, somewhere like egypt, is it too late now or can you leave it to the really last minute??

depends where you wanna go as you need vaccinations for some places so cant book late deals. With Egypt you need an entry visa which usually you apply for prior to leaving this country but you can get it on arrival at the airport in Egypt although it'll take a little while when you arrive. Think it costs about �15 so remember to budget for that also. Another thing...although many late deals work out cheaper a lot of the time they are allocated on arrival so you wont know where you'll be staying. Also you'll have to pay a ticket on departure fee which is about a tenner as you'll need to collect tickets from the airport.

Basically sometimes you can be lucky with late deals, sometimes its far better to book early as you get the holiday you want without any last minute add ons to the price...(it'll prob help if you can be flexible with your departure airport too)
