Going to Puerto del Carman Lanzagrotty (sorry couldnt resist it) in August, can someone recommend some nice but not too expensive casual restaurants where we can sit and watch the world go by? Not burgers and chips please. Seafood would be nice. Thanks everyone as usual.

Head for the harbour area of the old town. To find this, face the sea from your appartment, walk to the beach fron road then turn right until all the tacky places finish, then you'll be in the old town. Some lovely places round the marina, full of locals and tourists, which is always a good sign. Many of them are reached by rear enterances on the road, or through the seats on the marina front. This will make sense when you get there!
Was last there about 5 years ago but we always used to eat at a restaurant called El Tomato - it was just on the outskirts of PdC near a big sort of crater/hole in the ground. Some of the best food I have had anywhere in the world. Try and track it down
