Has anyone been to either of these places and would you recommend either, for a 10 day holiday? Been to Koh Samui and absolutely loved it. Thanks ABers. PS when is the rainy season - would it be OK to go in January or February??

Haven't been to Hua Hin, but Pattaya was a hell hole...unless wall to wall sex shops and very young teenage girls with very old men are ur thing!? They even tried to usher my NAN into a live sex show, ping pong balls and all ! Nothing like Koh Samui.

Not sure that you will find lots of handbags in Hui Hin!! The Thai royal family have a palace in Hui Hin, if it is good enough for them, it is good enough for me!!
