How do you pack your suitcase

With the weight restriction 20kilo etc do you pack as many shoes and bags when going on holiday or have you economised' Seen a tip on suitcase packing called bulk packing apparently if you lay a shirt flat and pack into it , it saves space hard to understand until you actually try would give you a link but don't know how!!

unless I'm going away for more than 2 weeks I only take a wheelie bag to carry on. Rolling stuff up takes up less space somehow than packing flat.
