When we are reminded (as in this article) of fairly recent past atrocities that were carried out in the name of other evil inhuman indoctrination, can we afford not to join Russia in their bid to rid the middle East of ISIS?
Who knows unless it is now stopped, this type of ideology could now spread all over Europe, as was in the case during WW2?

I'm getting lost. The question is something like 'having been reminded fairly recent past atrocities that were carried out in the name of other evil inhuman indoctrination, can we afford not to join Russia in their bid to rid the middle East of ISIS?

Although the Nazi v Isis comparison isn't particularly relevant, here is a short article on the subject by Robert Rozett, whose work on the Holocaust is well documented:

Yes I am sure Royal Marine sergeant Alexander Blackman will find that fact very irritating.I am sure he wished he had joined Spetsnaz and would of got better treatment from the Kremlin than HMG.I am sure Premier Putin doesn't bust a gut to prosecute his special forces when they are sent into a warzone to fight a dirty enemy where the Geneva convention does not apply. If call me dave wants his forces to do dirty work then he had better untie both their hands. I have no love for the Russians but hate ISIL and what it stands for. Good luck to Putin. If he gets his Syrian Port to dock his Mediterranean fleet then Dave better learn some lessons from this and not back the wrong side. I suppose we can be thankful that Egypt can sort out their own Arab Spring or we would have the Russian fleet in Alexandria and Port Said and we would be paying for our trip to the Valley of the Kings with roubles.
If the coalition and their governments have no will to sort out ISIL then let a country that has. I am sure Putin will allow his troops to do what they are trained to do with minimum of casualties. That is something our leader, who has only worn an Eton CCF uniform , should bear in mind.
There were thousands of French casualties in Caen etc as a result of the Liberation by allied forces. You can't make an omelette without cracking eggs.
