What Is This Little Creature?

I found this little guy at work this afternoon and I want to know exactly what he is?! I work in a nursery so we had a spare caterpillar/butterfly net kicking about so I put him in there. I was hoping that the kids can watch some sort of transformation but I want to know what he's going to transform into! :-)

I've just been reading up on how to keep an elephant hawk moth, seems like a long process but I think we'll give it a try! Very educational for the kids! :-)

Yep, definitely an elephant hawk moth caterpillar, I've seen them posted on here a few times.
Top on the list of their favourite food plants is willowherb.
