If the pudding is in a covered bowl - ( lidded, covered in a tied-up cloth, or with a greaseproof paper cover, ) just sit it in the cooker, put water round it and keep the water topped up if it evaporates. Just refer to the cooking-time instructions which came with your slow cooker
I was curious as to what bacon pudding is so I googled it and found this.

I looked up a recipe so here it is for you.
Mix flour, salt and suet and add water to make workable pastry. Roll into rectangle approx. 10 inches wide. Cut bacon into small pieces and lay on pastry; top with onion. Sprinkle with black pepper. Form pastry into cylinder shape and wrap in muslin. Tie each end with thread and sew along seam until sealed. Place in slow cooker leaving enough room for turning. Fill with hot water. Cook for 6-8 hours on low head. Turn up to High for last hour. Turn a couple of times during cooking. Remove muslin and serve with gravy and vegetables of choice.
