I think Mr McDonnell's view is barking.

People are naturally territorial, it's part of our DNA as humans, and that will never change.

The idea that Europe is one big happy community, and we should encourage that by breaking down borders and so on is utter rubbish.

We are, as we have always been, a trading nation, and the sooner we can negotiate our own trade arrangements with our customers and suppliers, without the strangulation of the EU gravy train riders exerting powers to which they have no right, the better we will be.

We should come out, and stay out - the EU we joined no longer exists.
