Just recovered from from a computer crash and all is well but I do have one little niggle. At the right end of the task bar the clock is showing, before the crash it showed time and date, how can I reset it to show time + date?
Thanks in advance

In “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties Menu” if you have “Use Small Taskbar Buttons” selected there is insufficient space on the taskbar to show the Date

I'm not touching Windows 10, so I might not be able to help. However the usual way to change such things in Windows (or, indeed, in most programs running under Windows) is to RIGHT-click on them to access the available options.
Are you sure it did?

Mine just shows time, but hover over it and it shows the date as well.
as buenchico says, right click on time and it will give you options
Mine shows date and time.
Buenchico steers you right.
Right click and and click on 'Adjust time and date'.
I've looked in there, Imlostagain, and I can't see an option for that.
It's second top item on mine. Just under 'Toolbars'.
Ok there might be some confusion here. At the moment mine shows:
19:14
23/03/2016
If I hover over it it shows:
23 March 2016
Wednesday
Oh yes I can see adjust time and date on the menu, but when I click it there is no option to do what the OP wants.
^ there's a 'change date and time' format, click on that
Do you mean change to something like my example (19:14)? If so when you r/click the clock and click adjust etc it should go to a 'Settings' 'Time and Language page'. At least it does on mine. There are a couple of options in there.
I'll leave it now to the original poster.

I'm quite happy with mine just showing the date unless I hover.

Sorry for late response but got called out last night just after asking the question. Checked date/time settings on computer and laptop, both are set exactly the same but laptop shows date & time, computer just the time! Good job it isn't very important.
Thanks anyway for all the replies.
