problem with internet connection

My internet connection keeps on cutting out. So I hope I can get an answer from somebody before it goes completely!! Whenever I connect I am told "unable to establish a connection" then I may be able to connect, then once I'm connected the internet will cut off again. Does anyone have a suggestion please?

Try using a different Internet Service Provider and see if it is more reliable. If you go into WH Smith you can pick up a free Tiscali CD, try that and see if it's any better than your current provider.

i had this problem, turns out i had a faulty telephone line that a bt engineer had to fix. truthfully it could be lots of different things, from software on your pc,or adware, to your sp like koster said

it could be that your connection speed is too high for your line.

If its dsl,you will need dsl filters on every phone connection.But thats only if the phone rings and that what cuts you off.
