11month old spayed cat in season
Can a cat come into season even after she has been spayed and for how long?
My cat came into season in February even after she was spayed so was taken to the vets to have tests done but all came back negative.
Now she seems to be in season again, rubbing against furniture, meowing at us and found her outside with a tom cat.
How long will this last and is this common?
Do I keep her in until she is out of season?
Can`t remember what was said last time.
Thanks

I found this on a website of a Vet:
Can she still come into heat after spaying?
Without ovaries, she should be unable to come into heat. Occasionally, a remnant of ovarian tissue is left behind by mistake. This can lead to some annoying behaviors as the female cat comes into heat (though she would be unable to get pregnant if her uterus has been removed as is customary with spaying). Special testing or even surgical exploration may be needed to determine if there is an ovarian remnant.
If it was a mistake made by the vet they may not admit to it...see if you can get a second opinion...just an FYI.
