"Not so much a one-man band perhaps as an embarrassing orchestra of amateur players with a very charismatic and rather autocratic bandleader. "
who had one aim, and that was achieved...whereas labour are an embarrassing one tune orchestra with a "leader" if you can call him that, who, like Farage also had major surgery....in this case it was a charisma-by-pass ...

Kids growing up now will not need public libraries.
Libraries will begin to die out.
Same as blacksmiths. No point hanging on to the past. We need to build an infrastructure that supports the requirements of the future.
Same with post offices.
And yes - I mostly vote for the policies that affect me.
Anyone who says they vote for what's good for the country ahead of themselves and their families is a liar.
No-one is that altruistic.

SP, Assuming that everyone else is endowed with your selfish mentality is a mistake. They're not. I don’t use public libraries – but I appreciate the benefits to those who do. Likewise, I voted ‘Leave’ not because it’s necessarily good for me, but because I think it is the best thing for the future this country. Don't call people liars when you have no conception of where they're coming from.
The fact that UKIP might have been seen to have achieved their 'aim' merely illustrates the poverty of their ideas. No clue what an 'independent' uk a tidally means. They seemed to exist solely so Farage could get himself off on witnessing the discomfit of some Brussels bureaucrats. All highly amusing but not really serious politics
UKIP has one MP: one of the great mysteries of politics to me is what on earth is Carswell doing in UKIP: he plainly hates the party and wishes it was something different : so, why would I vote for a party whose only MP feels like that? Hmm let me think ...
