Microsoft Security Updates

I have always received and downloaded all recommended security downloads which have always been fairly regular. On checking my updated list I see that nothing has been received since April this year. Is this OK or have I switched something off!

What version of Windows are you using?

I often find my Microsoft Security Essentials (free version) has switched itself off and I have to reactivate it. It's happened 3 or 4 times and I don't know why, I don't get a warning either.

Click the 'Start' button
Type 'update' into the box.
Click on 'Windows Update'
Click on 'Change Settings'
Look under 'Important Updates' to see your current option for downloading and installing them.
Change it if necessary.

Have followed your instructions. No changes necessary. Its been OK from day 1. Download every day at 5p.m. Always been OK since April but then they stopped. Thanks for prompt reply
