I have to agree that I don't wanna list names I don't like for fear of upsetting someone - but - my mum works in the local junior school and every september when the new kids come in she comes home with a list of the most extraordinary names!! It's amazing how many parents give their kids names that are so random! You thought Apple and Cruz were bad, i've heard worse than that!! No-one ever calls their kid anything normal these days, I think we are taking after celebrities far too much!! Think how these poor kids will feel when they're 80, with grandkids, living in a retirement home with a name like Apple!! Their grandkids will call them Granny Apple!! lol!
I don't hate any first names but, as an old teacher, there are some that have made me laugh. Nimrod, Squirrel, Chance and Aurora spring to mind.
A few years back about 10% of girls in our new intake were called Nicole - remember the Renault advert, "Papa", "Nicole".
No doubt I will see a Chardonnay before I retire.
I suppose my pet hate is unusual spelling such as Rebekah!

Lol, what a funny Lil' post.
We have a kid on the block called... wait for it... Ikea!!! Poor, poor child.
Reminds me of a sketch from Harry enfield's Wayne and Waynetta, "She's called Spud 'u' Licka, it's exotic!"
Studley is another one i've come across and double barrelled names are just gluton for punishment. Brandon Lee, Mary Lou, Tyler Dillon... why, oh why?!
