Well, I went to the garden centre to buy only 15 polyanthus for £12.99. Ended up spending over £100.00! :-)
All depends on the size of the floor space. Over a certain area shops can only trade between 10 - 4, whilst smaller stores can remain open all day.

what on earth did you buy, Kew Gardens....
Tilly must have bought her lunch there!
Shrubs, perennials, long handled trowel and some Bedfordshire honey. It soon mounts up. :-)
No, no lunch, Barsel. I'm cooking that now.

Mr T was with me and he kept picking plants up and putting them in the trolley.
Yes if I need to go I go on a sunday, but generally its just to our local shop as I get the supermarket to deliver on a Saturday.
No ... all the shopping shops are shut.
The Corbyloon... large stores in England can trade only for six hours on a Sunday. Stores can let folk browse before those six hours begin but you can't buy anything until the trading hours have started.

Thanks for that I had no idea and no explanation was given and the staff there are usually quite good.

I don't usually shop on Sundays. I do the weekend's shopping on Friday in the supermarket, and go to the local shop for top-ups of g&t.

I can't see the point of letting customers browse but not pay for half an hour.
In short. Yes.
nope, Sunday its my day off to veg.
