Bees

On removing a shed yesterday I came across a nest under the Floor, I moved the nest to another part of my friend's garden hoping that would be the end of it & let me carry on getting the level right for this shed, any idea how to rid these bees?

Why do you want to get rid of bees?

Find a local bee keeper .. they will propably take them away and re-home them for free.

Please don't kill the bees. Their numbers are in decline.

A beekeeper will only collect honeybees. These will relocate of their own accord having been displaced.

I've just reread your post TWR, if you moved them yesterday it is most likely they will have already gone in search of a new home when dusk began to fall.

You need to remove all traces of them from where they were to ensure they don't follow the scent back and try to move back in.

Thank you F.F. Butter I would never dream of doing that, Tilly, the area where the nest was is an area where the footing of the shed base, I was trying to sort this yesterday, it was a case now you see me now you don't.

Apparently if moving a colony of bees the max is 3ft or over 3 miles so they know where to return. Heard that somewhere.
