I'm going glamping over the weekend.
Am I turning into a softie in my old age?

Nope. I used to love camping but these days my knees don’t like getting down to the floor and REALLY don’t like getting back up again.
I slept on a concrete floor in Cairo for six months - mid 1970s
no I was not a hostage it was voluntary
( I wont say I wanted to do it)

and I just think
as I sink into my bubble bath
that was then and this is now
Yes, me too Wolfie, which is why I changed from canvas camping to a caravan when I turned 50 !
Yes we've all gone soft, and by the way, take some extra blankets, it gets bloody cold at night.
camping, glamping - give me a cosy hotel room any day ....
What is glamping?
Posh camping in a nutshell with a big bed and more luxuries.
Yes , a big big softie, I bet you use quilted loo paper now ?

For a weekend away glamping is the way to go. No pitching tents and taking then down again. No setting up camp beds and cooking equipment and a microwave to boot.
Anne, I've always used quilted bog roll:-)
No Glasto this weekend then, Melv?
Yes, but non't those days before the glam and most of all enjoy!!

I do folk festivals, Tilly. I went to Southwell last week and it was excellent :-) Glasto is far too big and corporate for me.
I'm not going either, Melv. Folk festivals sound much more genteel, especially if you're glamping.
We all get the problem of going soft as we age. Have to fight it or lose our reputation.
