Lady on tee vee was saying it was a power-play thing in drug gangs nowadays

altho I have to congratulate the primary services again
they got the message plenty soon - just drench the victim in lots of water and dont worry about the fiddly bits or cotton wool sticks or anything

There was one guy in Brum ( 1980s) who used to play around with petrol ( pour it over his victims) and then arris around with a lighter ...... I must say I would have pooped myself if that had happened to me

Its a sure way of the poor people who are attacked, cant retaliate, or run after them, as they are in to much pain.

Its a mindless coward attack, and they were only 15 and 16, but probably will only go to a youth rehab, instead of shooting.

So you go to a scrapyard, buy an old car battery and tip the acid out of it. Very difficult to keep tabs on.

Seems to be a typical copy-cat crime to me. But I notice that two people who have already been arrested are little more than boys....15 and 16. And another 16 year old yesterday.

They should not be thought of as 'boys'.

They should be banged up for 40 years min, no parole. Message might get through that it is not to be tolerated then.

Technically I think a 15 year old is a boy, although I am not calling for any sympathy here. But it does seem significant that such young people should be doing these truly awful crimes

It may be that they're out there splashin it all over while they're young enough to get away with it, real punishment wise, working on behalf of older thugs who have come up through the system.

Well they're clearly not adults, but they're still responsible for their appalling behaviour. They need more than a slap on the wrist, not only to drive the seriousness if their actions home to them, but to other vicious hoodlums in society.

i just don't get why the moped thieves used it, ok so they wanted to half inch the bike but surely the whole acid thing is unnecessary. Anyway I'm with YMB bang the scum up for a long time to set an example.
