Togo's thread reminded me of how much I miss John Peel - the sheer volume (ahem) of new music he introduced me to was staggering ... everything from Cream to The Pistols to The Smiths to Joy Division to some quite staggering electronica.

We went for a Chinese meal in the Chinese quarter.

It was wonderful to have such an entertaining companion all to myself for an evening, a great memory of a wonderful man.
