New Humax Fvp-5000T - Help With A Set Up Poroblem Please!
3 Answers
Have set up this new Humax PVR (previously had a 1800T) successfully but......................there is a problem with switching off automatically after a recording has finished.
It is blue for on, mauve for recording and red for off (standby). When I got up this morning after an overnight recording finished early hours it showed blue (on) rather than red (standby).
No probs really I use but the unit was a bit warm and on my last 1800T it would automatically go to red after completion.
Have O done something wrong in the settings? I am lost here although I consider myself quite 'Humax savvy'
Thanks everyone

Perhaps it would be worthwhile having an 'on-line' chat with Humax. https://uk.h umaxdigital. com/ Hans.

After protracted questioning they did not know the answer and said just leave in on 'blue' or turn it off to standby 'red' with remote (that works ok)
It is just that the fan makes some noise when it is in operation and it gets a little warm but I would not hear it at night anyway so when I got up I just put it on to standby again.
The thing is - if it is on standby when the recording is due to start it changes to mauve and records no probs. Oh well...............

Humax were useless in answering my question but I messed about with my Sony TV settings and those on the Humax and it now goes to red ok - don't ask me how!
One other interesting point is this. I was annoyed that on the epg there was always a background showing the current programme which was very annoying when trying to set up recordings and I was told by Humax that this could not be altered (it was not on my old 1800T)
However, I had an 'lightbulb moment' and went into the PVR settings and there was an option to switch off this background and now it is superb with just a plain dark background.
Thanks
