no, we had to go back to hospital every other day to start with now oh does dressing and we go once a week to see a doc . on the 7th we see consultant.
they closed our very good hospital now we have to go to a hospital which is understaffed and very busy . we have to go by bus ferry bus or bus to another town and change to another bus or in oh case as he wasn't well enough for public transport get a taxi ,people have offered lifts but his appointments are when they work so the taxis vary from £14 to £19 one way xx
have you asked about volunteer drivers Mally..most hospitals have a bank of volunteers for helping out in such scenarios, my uncle did this for years in Cumbria
..phone the hospital and ask for Patient services... might be called something else..most hospitals have a "friends of....." group that run things like this...
hope you can get something sorted, just does not seem right for anyone with weeping wounds and a significant health issue to traipse so on public transport..
