Ichkeria, //Some proponents of Brexit actually want more immigration from other parts of the world. We should not be discriminating against people from Africa and Asia they maintain. //

That's the first of heard of that one. Who's saying that?

It's been too late for a long time.
Even if all immigration was stopped today, the amount of people already here breeding and needing schools/housing/medical services etc mean that the future of this country is already pretty bleak.

It may not be too late, perhaps when our streets are no longer 'paved with gold' and we no longer become 'the land of milk and honey' perhaps our 'visitors' will find living here isn't as easy as they first thought, then they might leave to live in the next tolerant welcoming European country.
One can only hope, AOG.
Why do Liberals always think immigration is a good thing and all should be welcome? Even when they have trekked through Europe, passing through many safe countries, they always aim for the UK. I have never heard a straight answer from any of them why and how they can all be accommodated for schools and hospitals etc. If it is so good then all countries would have an open door policy.

A very good question Dave and one that deserves a thread of it's own.
Wayyyy too late, in my opinion ...
The bolted horse can just be seen on the horizon. The stable door is still open....
"a person who forces their way on to a ship in an attack."
Simple Freudian slip. Meant country, not ship.
I think we are unique in Europe in that we are members of the Commonwealth and we should welcome immigrants ( obviously with a sensible quota system)from Commonwealth countries. Many of these immigrants have qualifications, speak English and are of immense benefit to us. By leaving the EU, hopefully we will avoid an influx of people who do none of these things.
Well, OG, talking about ships: "Captain, sir, Damage Control is reporting that the bilge-pumps can no longer deal with inflow."
What I find amazing is that someone who has plenty to say on Brexit threads, a devoted Remainer, can be so astonishingly ignorant re the basics of the argument.
How can anyone, in this country, not understand free movement and it's part in a) the referendum result b) the ongoing Brexit negotiations.
Don't get me wrong, if you know nothing/have no interest in something, it's a free world. But don't then come on here taking sides and spouting about things you know nothing about.
way too late....east end of london looking like bangladesh
