Why do some ask questions, but do not have the courtesy to return to their question, so as to inform those who have taken the time to try and help them, if their suggestion solved their problem?

To be fair to ZM you did not specify sections at all, so he provided examples and you don't like it.
It would be nice for abers who give advice to receive feedback, but if getting gushing thanks for your diagnosis/advice is so important maybe best not to reply ?
I think worst still is when you give an answer or suggestion to a Query early in the thread, then someone later gives the same answer and they personally get a 'thanks' and no one else gets a mention.
Thank you for all replies is both polite and inclusive. No gushing needed :-)
ooo AL or when you give an answer and one of the favs then gives the same answer and they end up getting the BA.
Asquith.......nobody is talking about "gushing" thanks.

Ok, maybe not gushing thanks, but at least a standing ovation .

It's not a matter of needing a thanks, it is the matter of knowing if one's suggestion or advice solved their problem and as already been said, it hopefully helps those who may also have the same problem.
I think a few newbies ask the same question on a few sites so might have got their answer elsewhere.

Since Zacs-Master provided three of my threads to try and humiliate me, can I now take this opportunity to display a perfect example of how to respond to other posters who take up their time, to help a fellow ABer with a given problem.

AOG, asking lots of questions, not on the News thread.
It’s still a very rude thing to do, posting a question /statement and not having the courtesy to join in. Common decency, really.
