This first two clues (I think) has to have a letter removed from it wherever it occurs, the definition refer to the full unmutilated answer, wordplay and letter count to the grid entry.
17 down: Sons aboard right, then wrong lorry - so turned back (8)?T?O?SLY
19 down: He printed this to censor about ninety for all to see (7)E?D?UIT
10 down: Last of the three learners trapped by hostile sucker (7)(normal clue I think)
I have the phrase and the two-part definition, plus apart from one all the answers to the normal clues BUT (that's a big but!) I've no idea of the entry method of the seven normal clues!
I'm probably being thick as usual, but having spent hours & hours on this crossword I'm determined to finish it!
Thanks in advance.
Ripper, it's very hard to give hints, so I'll give an answer or two.,..
10 Ice Lolly, sucker (something you suck).
19 Excudit, but that's not what you enter. If you have the phrase, the first word has to be mangled (chewed)...
