i expect it does, after all we are the United Kingdom......
Five, I think.
i thought too it was 4 but i wasn't watching the Queen so much as the parade.
It was 5 - 2 were tilted and seemed to merge into 1 from some angles. No idea of the significance.
The four poppies represent,The Army,Royal Navy,Royal Air Force and Civil Defence.
to represent Wales, Scotland, England, Northern and Southern Ireland perhaps.
thank you for that grumpy...
Glad to have cleared that one up.
A conversation piece to stimulate guesswork put forward as informed debate?
It is 'thought' but not known for sure that the five are grumpy's four plus 'women'.
so there are five in all...
Hue Edwards said there were 5 poppies.
possibly England Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland,
but NOT Southern or Republic of Ireland, could the fifth be
the Isle of Man ?
I think the definitive answer is that no-one - other than the Queen - knows!
Because she can....
I agree with you Neveracrossword
I think she wore 5 poppies to deflect attention from Jezza - didn't work, did it? :-)
Perhaps she should wear one for each member of the commonwealth.
It's all the result of a typo.
Her maj was placing an order for replacement corgis and hit the'o' instead of 'u'.
