When I had an Astra it was just the same as yours, whatever I tried never realy cured it.

depending on the year of your car changing the pollen filter might help

Make sure your water level hasn't dropped to due to a leak in the heater matrix and also check the vent control isn't on re-circulate.

Does it help if you put the heating on, then set it to the windscreen? Sometimes does the trick with mine, especially if I open one of the side windows a bit too.
