How would YOU deal with the Unemplyed?
How would you coerce them into jobs?

Part time. Zero hours, benefit sanctions?

Not all of the Unemplyed are drinkers, smokers, and druggists. THINK!

Aint it funny how those who are unemployed would be dead or on the streets without those who do work?

(I'm specifically talking about those who can work but won't)

I have a friend, he could do a number of jobs, perfectly fit chap. He doesn't do anything to even try and get a job, yet moans when his employment and support allowance is a day late. He says those who work are deluded morons. He thinks very highly of himself and talks very ill of those who actually try to get on with the system.

I tell him, it's funny, without these "morons" he'd probably be dead.

I would make all Unemployed, that were eligible, work or train in order to get their benefits. They could either work for a charity as a volunteer or do some sort of training course in order to make themselves more appealing in the job market. I think that this would help people not to fall into the spiral of joblessness being worthlessness that seems to happen in some cases. It would also make people see that being unemployed is not a soft option anymore.
