I rather hoped not to have to be stating the bleedin obvious again, but hey ho here we go.
It may have escaped your attention that I am rather a fan of the Horse Racing industry and the pleasure that it affords millions of people. An industry that has been inclusive and welcoming to people of all creeds and backgrounds for decades. It has never excluded anyone of any faith or background and neither has it made an issue of such things. People of all Nationalities and beliefs have got along and enjoyed each others company and indeed differences without ever resorting to tribalism. The men and women who do the day to day hard graft, trainers, jockeys, stable hands, work riders and indeed owners are all from different backgrounds and get along just fine without the unnecessary exhortations of the pc zealots. I am therefor dismayed that we now have the right on brigade insisting on highlighting the differences amongst the fraternity based on religion, with the sole purpose of injecting their particular insidious poison into a section of society that gets along just fine without them.
PS is the horse going to have to wear a Burka?

Most races are in effect 'men only' as there is still some resistance to having women jockeys. The incidence of non-white jockeys in the saddle also does not reflect the percentage of non-whites within general society, so if this lady can raise their profile, then good for her. Hopefully her success on a 25-1 outsider will open up opportunities to others.
