// “It is concerning to see the ASA take on the role of the morality police,” said Geraint Lloyd-Taylor, an advertising expert at the law firm Lewis Silkin. “It has let its zeal to enforce the new rules override its common sense in this first batch of rulings.
“The ASA seems to be out of sync with society in general. As it stands, the ASA’s definition of ‘harm’ is unworkable and urgently needs to be clarified. I hope that these advertisers seek an independent review of the latest decisions.” //
The ASA seem to have misunderstood the advert. It shows a man and a woman sleeping on a clifftop. And a man and a woman on a space station. Then a car driven by someone whose gender is not known, drives past a mother and child, quietly not disturbing them or poisoning them with pollution. I can see no gender bias at all.

Three people complained about the commercial, with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banning the ad on grounds that it showed the men being daring and adventurous whilst the women were “passive or engaged in a stereotypical care-giving role”.
Is there a mechanism for people to compliment the commercial with the ASA, outnumbering the complaints, thereby allowing those of us who haven't seen it form our own opinions ?

I believe this is just one more symptom of a decaying society.
We ALL belong to minority groups of one sort or another, sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, married divorced single parent, unemployed, zero hours, political views, tall, short, obese, anxious and depressed the list goes on. Then we can claim victim hood for,our minority group and take, offence.
It will get worse in tandem with other traits. There is no going back.
