I sold £124-worth of raffle tickets this morning - for a good cause - and had a lot of cheery chat at the Community Centre . Wonderful how a village pulls together at times. It felt so happy and 'together' and friendly. :)

My wife has been confined to the house for the past 6 or 7 weeks, because she had an artificial hip joint fitted. Some of the checkout girls at our local Tesco have asked after her (I've been doing the shopping), and the first time my wife did the shopping, one of the checkout girls was so pleased to see her again, she actually stood up and gave my wife a big hug!
Some lovely news for us all in this thread,
Thanks TC

Bobbisox1 I am so so pleased to see your pain free from Shingles pain I had it 9 years ago, started christmas eve. No GP open for several days. By the time I got an appointment it was too late anti virols.. to this day, and mostly at night the post hepatic pain is excruciating. Take care it's a horrid complaint.
Arh thisoldbird, I’m really sorry to hear this, I was at the doctors ages ago as I rarely need to go and I happened to mention I was getting a lot of shoulder pain, my GP said ( after making me do head rotations and arm lifts etc) he thought it could be some nerves from me having Shingles 4 years ago, hadn’t fully healed and probably never will, I’m so sorry for you still suffering this dreadful virus it’s so very painful, take care x
