Jess Phillips seems popular but we need to wait and see who comes forward.
I believe Corbyn, McDonnell and Momentum should all disappear from politics completely. Corbyn was the main factor in the defeat, not Brexit, because Brexit was also present in 2017. The one thing that I have never seen in a GE is Labour protest votes (anti Corbyn) going to the Tories. They usually go to some other party, but for traditional Labour voters to vote Tory is a damning indictment of Corbyn, McDonnell and Momentum.
Now we have a Conservative Government and Mr Johnson has to deliver the costly improvements that were promised before and during the election. Will the promises turn out to be excuses? We'll see.

The Andrew Marr show was on yesterday and I know I wasn't really concentrating because my friend was on the phone giving me some bad news but I am sure there was a Labour woman on there who said something like "Labour will never have a woman leader as is not in their thinking". I thought at the time, that if that was true, then they are again proving how out of touch they are. Man or woman surely you should pick the best person for the job.

In 2017 Labour pledged to accept the Referendum decision of the people, and do Brexit if elected. They gained 30 seats.
In 2019 Labour wanted to ignore the 2016 referendum, and make people vote again. They lost 59 seats, mainly in Leave voting areas.
Same leader, different policy, and very different result.

Actually, it is a damning indictment of Swinson. The LibDems policy was worse than Labour’s if you were a Leave supporter. So the only viable option was the Tories.
