TTT - it's your description of people at the demo as "snowflakes" that I find offensive.
Are schools allowing this absurd mass absenteeism?

I only ask because a few years ago my daughter was denied a Friday off to attend my SIL's wedding as a bridesmaid (she was 7 at the time).

Perhaps we should have asked for the day off to protest about something that the UK isn't particularly guilty of compared to other countries.

Only a snowflake would be offended by random people being called snowflakes.
FYI - I'm far too old to be a snowflake.

if they really cared about "climate change" they'd not be hassling one of the lowest emitters in the world. Sipp ffo to China, India USA etc..
I've just seen pictures of the scene of devastation these kids have left behind them. The grass has been churned into a sea of mud. I hope that all who bunked off school to attend will be sent back to repair, flatten and re-seed the area at their own expense and in their own time. I hope so, but I doubt it will happen.
college green left in a mess.

if you look at her on the stage shes reading from her mobile phone.
I can't express how angry I feel about this petulant child and today's events. I agree with Deskdiary and Jourdain. I would be furious if my child was attending any of the school's involved.
Not another post about Greta!
It must be a slow news day.
Let's be honest, this was nothing more than having a day off school.
let's hop all the gammons stay away, then, and stick to moaning on social media.
My step-granddaughter wanted to go, just for a chance to be on Tv, not because she’s worried particularly about the environment. Her dad wouldn’t let her go. Her school let pupils take the morning off. I don’t know how many did.
Sensible Dad Cloverjo.
