Not a programme I watch but surely, watching 2 men, or 2 women (or 2 whatever) dancing together cannot be as cringeworthy as watching Anne Widdecombe or John Sargent strutting their stuff?

No issue with same sex couples,after all there are plenty of same sex couples doing competition dancing because there tends to be a shortage of male partners. Didn't enjoy H on DOI not because he was in a same sex couple but because he wasn't any good!

How do I feel about same sex couples on Strictly? Bring it on, will make for an interesting series and I have absolutely no problem with it, in fact I think in will enhance the show and make it a better watch.

It is a crime against God and they should be burned alive at the stake in Trafalgar Square. And women should not be allowed out of the house either as they tempt men to sexual intercourse. And music and TV should be banned. Praise the Lord! And all books not praising God should be banned.

It is gonna happen tony, I'll just record it and skip past them. I do that anyway with celebs who hold no interest for me. Not as big a fan of it as I used to be.

Margie, just out of interest, what if they are absolutely red hot dancers? Would you still speed past them or would you watch to see how good they were?

My main problem is that the Beeb are pushing themselves into a corner. If they are rubbish, people will say, "See, I told you. Same sex couples can't compete to the standard of mixed sex couples", but if they're great, and they win the show, it'll be "The show was obvioisly fixed to allow them to win, aBBC and their lefty PC agenda".

A same sex couple will never be allowed to win the contest on their own merit from some quarrters.
