Many voted for the Conservatives to keep Corbin out. Now he's gone they will revert back to voting Labour. Sir Keir will make an excellent PM and I reckon will steal quite a few voters from the 'Tory party. And it may come sooner than everyone thinks.

17.23 Bednob, why would I want to mention Johnson, in post about The Labour Party. It would be an insult to "Sir Keir Starmer".
//Good News//

Oh, when are you leaving?
Why have you put Starmer’s name in inverted commas?

17.54 Why do you ask ?.

Think I will open a bottle of "Cassar de Malte" tonight , bit of a celebration,
just saying.
hey Gulliver, what's the chance of the labour party remaining in one piece long enough to win a general election?
The only piece Labour is likely to be missing come an election is the Corbyn piece. Labour survived the Corbyn years structurally and it will survive this
17.23 did you mean Doris?
gulliver - You keep posting these poll results, and I keep telling you that it's irrelevent until there is an election a lot nearer than several years away.

It's like saying my house is worth a million pounds.

If I put it on the market at that price, and if someone wants to pay me that much to buy it, then yes it is - but until those two factors are in place, I am enjoying a pleasant drem.

Pretty much like you are ...
These polls are not irrelevant.
I agree that they are of limited value in predicting an election result in 4 years, maybe even one held tomorrow: but they do reflect the fact that support for this government has shrunk dramatically.
The PM won’t be ignoring them I’m sure ...
I for one can't wait for the election next week -- oh wait.

18.54 Enjoy your pleasant drem Andy , sweet drems.
Gulliver, remember this.
Clinton v Trump,
remain v Leave

Clinton will win
Remain will win

What happened
A drem is what the good gentlemen of Morningside take of an evening.
Tis the hour I should retire for a shower .. from whenst I shall return and perhaps partake in a drem !
