Eldest granddaughter has been tested positive for Covid. She met up with two old friends last week. One contacted her to say he has been tested positive. She went for a test. It came back inconclusive. She had another one yesterday. Results today positive. She has no symptoms though as yet.
I said a couple of weeks back that 2 of my daughters are regularly tested because of their jobs. Oldest one had a few 'symptoms' and her test came back negative. Youngest had no symptoms and her test was positive. Of course we all had to have tests and none of ours were positive.
She is 23 and normally in good health. She had just moved back home with mum and dad and other four children.
She has to isolate for 10 days, rest of the family for 14 days.
According to ONS statistics (as relayed by the BBC website), over half a million people (an estimated 570,000) had Covid-19 last week, so it's not exactly uncommon. Fortunately the figures for hospitalisations are far, far lower, with most people have either having very mild symptoms or none at all.
Let's hope that your granddaughter is in the majority.
