How safe is it likely to be, how do we know if there are any serious side effects??

"Like all vaccines, this vaccine can cause short-lived side-effects, including pain at the injection site, fever, muscle aches and pains, headache and fatigue," said Dr Penny Ward, a visiting professor in pharmaceutical medicine at King's College London.
Prof Ward pointed out that these kinds of side-effects are also experienced by a high number of people receiving the annual flu vaccination. The side-effects are usually mild, wear off after a couple of days at most, and can be alleviated with paracetamol or ibuprofen".

People have died following vaccinations, although it is hard to prove the cause.
CD, it is a possibility, although probably unlikely. But the difference in moral terms, is that one is trying to help people who are seriously ill, and one is given to people who are otherwise healthy. So, it is hard to decide which risks are acceptable. I am all for vaccination, but it doesn't necessarily make sense to compare it to a disease, which you may not get, and may not trouble you.

Watch from 24 minutes to hear an eminent Professor explain how the vaccine has been formulated and the science and testing behind it:

For this with that mindset, please do your utmost to remain indoors for most of the rest of your adult life and DO NOT burden the NHS if you develop symptoms.
Do not enter pubs, restaurants, supermarkets nor stadia.
Do not attempt to make any travel abroad(I’ve a feeling that will become a requirement within 24 months anyway) or enter any densely populated areas whatsoever.
I’ve seen people die from Covid on a daily basis throughout the summer(one a colleague) but I’m yet to see anyone die as a result of having a vaccine.

ChilledDoubt @ 03.46 /DO NOT burden the NHS if you develop symptoms. Do not enter pubs, restaurants, supermarkets nor stadia./
The NHS is there to protect people, not the other way round.
I don't enter pubs, restaurants or stadia anyway, so I'll let you know when I'm going to the supermarket and you can keep out of my way, ChilledDoubt. No injection for me thanks.

I thought the current tag line was ‘Protect the NHS’ not the other way round.....oh well.
You don’t enter previously mentioned buildings but you were more than happy to thumb your nose at everyone when the government advised against foreign travel....remind us again how that trip ended for you?
Sadly, the NHS DOES have to care for Covidiots and those who ignore and flout the rules. No doubt we’ll have to do the same for the conspiracy theorists who have no basis whatsoever to not accept the vaccine, but then most conspiracy theorists are renowned as generally being of low intelligence.
You crack on with your baseless mindset, just don’t burden the NHS if you’re going to fly in the face of convention and ignore all advice.

"Covidiots"
So people who disagree with you are idiots?
Stop using such terms and maybe we can have a grown up debate.
No injection for me either unless I have answers to a lot of questions.
And 46K out of 7.8 Bn is a miniscule test. They need to clearly publish who these people were (not names but backgrounds, ethnicity, lifestyle etc).

Wrong. The Covidiots are those who have been gathering in Students Common Rooms, weddings of more than 100 guests, those attending raves in forests etc.
Have you actually watched the Question Time link I provided earlier?
Your choice not to have the vaccine but I’ve a feeling your right to free movement will be curtailed a little over the next 2 years, especially if you wish to travel abroad.
Just a hunch, but this thing is global and not all governments are as easy-going as ours, many will put stringent measures in place to bar those who have not been vaccinated.
