Indeed he did - he could do no other if he wants to be seen as being serious in his twin objectives - stamping out anti-Semitism in the Party, and dragging it back from Corbyn's la-la land into some semblance of a credible Opposition.
Of course, Corbyn still has a lot of friends in high places, and it beggars the question whether this move to re-instate him has been done from sheer devilent, since his chances of any meaningful role are long behind him.

He was foolishly put into a position of power that is miles above whatever capabilities he may possess, and they frankly remain a mystery, and now it's time for him to fade away as another unelectable leader that Labour chose, and paid the price for doing so.

It's a courageous action by Keir. I think I'm right in saying that he narrowly lost in the aim to oust Momentum from the NEC. So, he's doing this knowing that he will have a fight on his hands. I can't knock his belief in returning Labour to a straightforward socialist party. He is making powerful enemies, I think.

I think that the allies of Mr Corbyn live in the same twilight unreality that he does, a world where an ideal socialist society exists, and they live there, untouched by the simple reality of a party that is trying to move to a position of being a credible opposition to the government of the day, and instead they live in their world which consists of their world view and literally nothing else, certainly nothing as frightening to them as reality.
I read that Mr Corbyn is actually obsessed with politics to the extent that he is not known to have read a non-political book in his adult life, and his entire conversation consists of politics because he knows and cares about nothing else.
That's not the sort of person any political party wants or needs anywhere near its power base, and certainly not seen as some sort of figurehead for a fiction notion of socilaism.

There's no risk of civil war starting in the Labour party, simply because it's already been raging for years. Their problems will continue until they eventually split - or perhaps more accurately, the losing side is forced to leave.

Ironic isn't it - when serving MP's like Ruth Smeeth are being hounded out, it's business as usual, and when Corbyn is being held to account for his appalling behaviour, suddenly it's a 'witch hunt'.
Of course it suits McCluskey et al to make Corbyn a martyr, it masks the awful reasons why he, and Labour, are in this position in the first place.
