Even Prince Harry's biographer picks holes in the accusations of the Markel debacle:

Listened to all that, Choux, and she picked just the one hole - the mental health issue. Having done that, she said that Meghan did not mention specific details to back up her claims, then claimed that the whole interview was full of holes. Without, erm, mentioning specific details. I must also point out that at one point, she also says words to the effect of "This is just my opinion."
Thank you for posting that, choux. The lady is spot on.
ken, Angela Levin said:
"...individuals weren't mentioned"
"nor were specific facts given..."
"I found it disbelieving"
She talked at greater length about the mental health claim.
I make that 3 specific holes.

naomi, it was good content.
Can't help but think there's a little misogyny creeping in here. Yes, Meghan seems a nightmare but there's a lot more criticism of her than of him. Why did he not help his wife more, if her allegations are true.
I don't think it's about misogyny, paigntonian. Harry has been well known for much longer, and really it only seemed to change everything once Meghan arrived.
Paigntonian, could that possibly be because many people see all of this has been engineered by the manipulative Meghan who clearly, imo, has total control over her husband? For the record I now have no respect for Harry who has no respect for the Monarch and his close family. I wouldn't cross the road to spit on him if he was on fire.
Will that do for you?
To my mind, whichever palace official came up with the phrase, "recollections may vary" is a maser of diplomacy.
maser = master.
Quite so, Jackdaw. Plus the brevity of the statement. No-one can do it like the English ;)
Think they just resigned in the end, must have earned a bit from Oprah, I saw 200 million $ quoted today, they decided to leave.
Can they be stripped of their titles? Is there any precedence for that?
They earn lots of money, but perhaps the queen can?
The only precedent I can think of in modern times is prince Charles Edward, 2nd Duke of Albany, grandson of Queen Victoria. he was deprived of all his titles by George V in 1917. Not surprising really, as he had fought for Germany during WWI and later went on to join the Nazi Party.
When will you people grow a brain & get rid of this monarchy nonsense once & for all ?
Well, that could impact the souvenir industry immensely. Then again, those old teacups would probably appreciate in value.
Possibly when your brain can tell you not to be so rude.

first there has to be a will to do it. then there has to be a government to undertake to do that will. at this time no political party with any chance of gaining more than one seat at Westminster has abolition in its manifesto. if there's any movement in the UK for abolition, it isn't translating into anything that might garner enough support to go on to form a government. until that changes, nothing will change.
