As I stated on your original thread, knowing the branch won't help with a Santander account. Unlike, say, Barclays (who have a different sort code associated with each branch), Santander only uses a handful of sort codes, which are all linked to its head office. So someone who opened an account at their Leigh branch five minutes after you opened yours won't necessarily have the same sort code allocated to their account that you have.
That means that absolutely nobody other than Santander (or, of course, than anyone who has access to your debit card, cheque book or bank statements) can possibly know your sort code for certain. The ONLY people who can help you are the staff at Santander. So it's them that you need to contact.
