Not Receiving Some Emails
4 Answers
Surprised that I hadn't had replies to my emails from two, possibly three, contacts, I phoned one of them; only to discover that she has sent several in the last three weeks, none of which I've received. I've been getting others as normal. I've checked my Spam box, and there's nothing there. Could I have blocked them by mistake? If so, how do I release them, please? Or is there any other possible reason?

Ask your friend to try changing her IP address. That usually involves nothing more than removing the power to her router, waiting for a minute or so and then powering it up again. (If she wants to check that her IP address has actually changed, she can go here both before and after the process: https:/ /whatis myipadd ress.co m ).

Apologies for the delay, I wanted to take some time to think about it overnight. Nothing came to mind, so I contacted BT today. Looking at the email addresses of the three contacts I was sure about, I noticed that they were all gmail. BT reminded me where to find the Blocked Senders list (I'd forgotten, but have now made a note of it), and there at the top of the list was gmail. I have no idea how it happened; I type very quickly, so possibly I caught the wrong key by mistake. Anyway, all is now well. Many thanks for your advice, youngmafbog and Buenchico.
