Do you keep your weight and size private. Nearly all my friends do hence I can't buy them any kind of clothing.

Another birthday looming for one of my friends in two weeks and no idea what to get.

I don't care, 5'6'. Size 22/24 but if you buy me clothes only buy me classics. I do the eccentric stuff myself.

I wonder if it's a special birthday a cashmere scarf or a pure silk one, or a pamper treat at a local salon. One of those bunch of flowers a month for 12 months deals or a magazine subscription.

PS even size and weight don't help, as Buenchico says, it depends on shape too.

I never want other people to buy me clothes, my mother did it a lot and my in-laws often do now and I rarely wear any of it.

I had a lovely surprise this year, for my birthday. There was a knock at the door and I had "an afternoon tea" delivered to me. It had a selection of sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream.My friend had arranged for it to be delivered to me from one of the local tea rooms.

My sister buys me things she would wear if she was fat, they go to the charity shop.
