Set up a trust find for my friends daughter, she's very bright but will need help going to uni, would be lovely to give her a start on adult life free of debt, maybe with enough left for the deposit on her first home. I have no children or nieces or nephews so she is the next best thing.
From Burly Shirley - open an animal sanctuary, but get others to run it for me as I'm no spring chicken any more, but I would go every day to visit the animals, play with them and love them. I would never turn an animal away. Heaven.

Ditto!!!
A scene sticks in my mind from a few years ago.
A little old lady in headscarf, an old macintosh, and clutching a shopping bag, looking in the window of the local butchers shop, not sure whether or not to buy, and if so what?
I would have loved to have stuffed some money into her hand and told her to go in and buy what she wanted.
I will do this I hope, sooner than later.
What fabulous answers! Xx
Theland that reminds me of the time I was queuing at a cake stall in the market in my lunch hour many years ago. There was a shabbily dressed little old lady counting coppers in her pocket and she asked how much a particular cake was, but it was too expensive and she just put the money back in her pocket and shuffled off. I hastily asked the lady serving to give me the cake and I paid for it, but when I went to look for the old lady she had gone and I simply couldn't see her anywhere. I was so frustrated and deeply upset that she couldn't afford a little treat like a cake. I looked for that old lady week after week in the market, but never saw her again. I haven't thought about this in a long time, you have brought it all back to me.
Thanks pat - we have a lot in common I think.
