That is appalling treatment of the manager, 8th in the table and three quarters of the season left to improve.

Kane has not turned up this season and is a waste of space. He signed a contract but wanted to break it and asked leave in the summer. Manchester City failed to meet the asking price so he had to stay. And he has been completely useless ever since.

Manchester City still need a striker so may attempt to buy him in January. But his poor form means the asking price is unlikely to be the same as the summer. City will probably bid less, and Levy will accept it to get rid of a dud player. Probably getting half of what they would have got last July.

He is still valuable, but is now a liability to the team.
