Is the Prime Minister right to censure the BBC over its reporting of the Christmas party scandal(s) or is he shooting the messenger?

Okay, the auto-editing of that last post makes it look way worse than it really was.
(b) shooting the messanger.
bbc seems to always have a dig and the government and in depth.
and not just this story, im of the thinking the bbc is very much left wing, i have noticed this over the years, since the torys came into power, i maybe wrong but it sometimes a little over the top, and they seem to thrive on race related stories, protest against the government stories, i dont see any erm the government did well on so and so stories.

lol, fender's right - when the PM does his job properly it should definitely be the big news story of the day.
How long before bj blames the safety car as he hoped a Hamilton win would take the pressure of him for an hour or two .Sorry bj didn’t hear what was the question again .
So where does someone go for unbiased news sources? And when I say unbiased, I don't mean far left wing or far right wing claptrap.

Do you mean unbiased or uncritical? Is reporting Bojo denying he knew about the parties at No. 10, the payment arrangements for the refurbishment of the No. 10 flat, unhappiness of some of his MPs about the "Plan B" restrictions biased?
drmorgans, i don't think the bbc do balanced reporting, just look at question time over the years, it used to be excellent i used to watch it.
i pesonally think the bbc are very left having watched it for many years
i have seen it change, and it's not just news either.
The problem is both the government in general and Boris Johnson in particular are exactly the same as the BBC. The all think they're always correct and neither tolerate any criticism. When groups like this clash, neither side end up winning and both sides lose respect from the people they, the government and the BBC, are supposed to serve. Once respect has gone it takes a long time to recover it, if it ever can be.
No I will not take up your bet.
Other than the stupid lottery I do not gamble.
Please do not take my reluctance to gamble with you as an admission of defeat, It isn’t.
It's not a gamble if you are confident is it? So you don't actually believe your own rhetoric then? Yawn, another paper tiger shoots mouth of runs scared when called out.
My God you're full of yourself Tora. He just said he doesn't bet. I guess that he should change his habits just to appease you?
I worked at the Levy Board and former Chairman Lord Wigg used to say "I don't gamble, but I like a bet".
// sue the former speaker for defamation in response to this//
yeah it is pretty good isnt it?

Bercow certainly sticks the stiletto in - but I think he wd get away with 'fair comment'
Bercow is a labourite - forgotten that
yeah TTT - grom grom doesnt bet
leave im alone !
What was the bet that TORATORATORA wanted to have with GULLY that the covid restrictions due to end in June, would not be extended?

I'm sure they were longer than evens but I can't find the thread.

"Just how many more dead cats has Boris got to throw on the table."

Since signing a contract with Mary Bale a good supply is assured for the forseeable.
Difficult one for me as I dislike both of them.

I have to come down on the side of the BBC on this one though. Johnson has history of trying to shut people up when he doesnt like the message.
