Surely if he is as bad as they say then they want him leading the Tories at the next GE. Is a short term bauble and few days gloating worth a better chance at the next GE? It's one of the reasons Labour rarely win, not pragmatic enough, not ruthless enough. They should be doing all they can to keep Boris in but no! They just want the sweetie now!

Strangely, I find myself in agreement with Tora in a political matter. Labour's best chance of winning the next election is for an unliked and untrustworthy Tory leader to remain in charge until the election.

It is not very ethical to let an untrustworthy and failing Prime Minister stay in power to further your chances in a vote in 2 years time.
The man can do a lot more harm to our country in 48 months. Politics needs to be cleaned up or no one will bother voting in 2024.
